Fucheng Table is an independent guide to eating in Tainan, built and run byBillMa (必邇碼有限公司), a small software studio in Kaohsiung. We are not paid by any restaurant, and nothing here is advertising.

How places are chosen

We started from the 30 Tainan restaurants in the MICHELIN Guide Taiwan 2026 Bib Gourmand selection, then added classic local spots listed by the Tainan City Government's tourism site and well-known media. Each place links to the sources we checked. Descriptions are our own.

"Bib Gourmand" labels state a fact about the MICHELIN Guide's published selection. Fucheng Table has no affiliation with the MICHELIN Guide.

Opening hours

Many of these are family-run shops that close when they sell out or take days off at short notice. Where sources disagreed or we could not confirm hours, the page says so. Please check before you travel.

Maps

Overview maps use OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors). Each place page embeds Google Maps for directions.

Photos & illustrations

Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under the licences below. Where a photo was taken at the shop itself, the place page says so; otherwise it is a representative photo of the dish and was not taken at that shop. Where no suitable photo exists we use our own illustrations.
